Job Summary
We are currently seeking a F inancial Associate Intern for Summer 2025 . This position is hybrid , located in Columbus, OH. This position does support a relocation stipend for eligible candidates.
This Corporate support role resides in the Proposal Pricing Department which directly reports to the CFO. They will be immersed in Battelle’s culture, and will have opportunities to learn about all that the company has to offer. Successful candidates will need to apply knowledge and a keen attention to detail to complete assignments with a high degree of accuracy.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborating with Researchers, Scientists, & Program Managers to prepare compliant cost estimates in response to Federally Funded proposal requests.
+ Ensuring cost estimates adhere to Battelle's Estimating System policies.
+ Collaboration with other members of Finance, Contracts, Procurement, and Business Development staff.
+ Complete financial tasks and duties that assist with Battelle’s unique business structure as a not-for-profit, government contract research company.
+ Working with Project and Finance Management to help identify and mitigate business risk.
Key Qualifications
+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Management.
+ Must be a junior standing or higher
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to demonstrate good organization, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
+ Must be flexible with a high commitment to achieve deadlines
+ Related work experience (paid or unpaid) is preferred.
+ Applicants for this position must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain clearance.
