POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects in areas such as budget, forecasts, and financial and operational performance. Will assist the department as necessary in a wide array of activities.
Responsibilities:- Create and maintain accurate accounting records using available information in order to properly state the financial position of entities of significant size, complexity, and activity.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual analyses and reviews using generally accepted accounting principles to verify that the activities of the accounting department are being recorded correctly.
- Assist hospital CFOs and departments to analyze cost and profitability of current and potential service lines. Assist with the setting of benchmarks and tracking of performance at a facility and department level.
- Perform audits of processes and procedures for potential issues and develop recommendations for their correction.
- Assist in the preparation and review of forecasting models. Perform related responsibilities as required, including ad hoc analysis and reporting.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience with multiple GL Packages and Business Intelligence software a plus
- 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting environment
- Healthcare experience a plus
