Duration: 12 Months + (potential for permanent hire)
Location: Gatzville, NY 14068
Pay Rate: up to $23.00/hr on W2 (OT past 40 hours = $34.50/hr)
Job Description:
Analysis, examination, and help in effective decision making concerning financial reconciliations. Prepare reports for the organization on the researched results. Duties and Responsibilities: Conducting a common financial analysis of finance reports acquired from various departments.
The position is accountable for the analysis of balance sheet accounts and the integrity of supporting reconciliations for the various business lines supported. Individual would have full responsibility and accountability for understanding process flows, risk analysis/mitigation, and ensuring controls are in compliance with all internal guidelines/requirements.
Candidate may be responsible for project work, building new automated reconciliations, or executing various levels of balance sheet analysis. The individual must balance multiple initiatives and be able to respond to quickly changing priorities. Individual would be responsible for identifying, implementing, and executing efficiency and control enhancements. Candidate will be heavily involved in analysis should have the ability to "think outside the box to identify new opportunities to add efficiency to processes and reconciliations using automated platforms without losing quality integrity of the reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will understand finance and accounting operations; exercise basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal accounting controls, etc.; candidate should be proactive and possess the ability to challenge existing processes and approaches and provide innovative suggestions that improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and/or customer service.
The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with concentration in Finance, Accounting, or closely related field.
Knowledge of various financial products is a plus.
0-2 years of relevant experience
Strong analytical skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
Superior communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Strong computer/software skills (MS Excel required)
MS Access skills highly valued
Project management/project work experience valued
