Job description
THE ROLE & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Financial Analyst role will navigate the organization, systems and data to provide reporting of business results for the global products organization.
- Use Excel and SAP Business Objects to prepare standard weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and provide thoughtful analysis on variances and trends of financial and operational information related to revenue, sales, expenses, margins, investments, and various initiatives.
- Ensure information reported is consistent, accurate, and easy to understand for the intended audience
- Calculate revenue and forecasts for a few of our high volume, systematic product offerings
- Contribute to the weekly/quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process
- Provide ad-hoc analysis with a high degree of accuracy
- Actively identify and/or contribute to improvements in operational processes and reporting
- Entry level analyst role good fit for someone with 2-4 years of financial analyst experience looking for a new role in a global, fast moving environment, someone in a different accounting or finance role interested in moving into an analyst position with great excel knowledge.
- High attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the big picture
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excel VBA knowledge is a plus
- Ability to adapt to workload fluctuations, prioritize and shift priorities as needed
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to explore alternatives, recommend improvements, and implement recommendations
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and at all levels of our global organization
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adjust the message based on audience
