About the Job
Basic Purpose:
This position will serve a key role in the finance organization, overseeing various aspects of finance, including involvement in sales and margin planning, store payroll and various operational expenses, and corporate overhead. Responsibilities include leading financial planning for various areas of the business.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the budgeting, monthly forecasting, monthly reporting of various P&L line items including sales and margin, stores payroll and various operational expenses, and corporate overhead
- Provide reporting, analyses and insights to ensure continuous progress towards achieving financial and performance management metrics
- Monitor and manage multiple expense line items on the P&L; partner with the business to understand risks and opportunities
- Understand and apply knowledge of operating sales of business to Stores expense and productivity goals
- Maintain and analyze key financial and operational metrics to understand and evaluate business trend
- Work with key business partners to review, forecast, and analyze spend
- Identify and implement enhancements to forecasting and reporting capabilities
- Develop and present executive level presentations
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and participate in other finance projects as needed

Internal:
- Finance Leadership team including the CFO and SVP of Finance
- Finance / Accounting and Planning Partners
- Functional leaders across the business and other KnitWell brands
Education/Experience/Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or MBA a plus
- 6+ years' experience with progressive financial reporting and planning experience
- Retail industry experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion preferred but not required
- Ability to build financial models and analyses with limited guidance, and make recommendations to improve results
- Innovative thinker with strong desire to improve process and streamline workflow
- Detail oriented with highly developed problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Self-starter that can work with little supervision, but can collaborate with team in a pro-active and positive way
