Role Summary:Rivian is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with our Enterprise Technology organization and drive efficient budgeting/forecasting, insightful reporting, and business case development and evaluation with the ultimate goal of helping Rivian fulfill its mission of keeping the world adventurous forever. The right person for this role will combine excellent quantitative and qualitative skills with a strategic planning mindset.
The role will be based in Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities:- Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for the Enterprise Technology organization
- Serve as a trusted partner to the organization by articulating, reviewing, and analyzing financial forecasts, and executing financial planning needs
- Consolidate and build financial plans for the organization, including collecting and tracking headcount, contractor spend, non-payroll opex, and capex for IT project spend
- Prepare and present insightful analysis to support leadership in decision-making
- Conduct variance analysis to forecast, track KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Advise leaders on risks and opportunities impacting business performance
- Partner with Accounting and other Finance teams to perform monthly and quarterly close responsibilities; includes managing accruals and preparing close presentations
- Provide financial oversight for the procurement process for the organization
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience in Finance or related field, preferably within large or medium-sized corporations
- Previous experience in Enterprise Technology / CIO organization Finance preferred
- Experience with CapEx forecasting and IT project lifecycle management
- Proven ability to develop effective business partner relationships
- Strong organizational skills reflecting prioritization with a sense of urgency
- Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to step back and see the big picture
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
- Continuous improvement attitude: ambition to suggest and implement best practices
- Strong Excel modelling skills; experience with multidimensional EPM tools such as Hyperion Essbase / Oracle EPM (preferred), Anaplan, or Adaptive
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA is a plus
Salary Range for California based applicants: $149,700 - $187,100 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
