Finance Manager - Consultant at KBW Financial

About the Company:
A clinical-stage biotech/pharma company backed by significant venture capital, the company operates globally with five legal entities and a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Accountant with FP&A skills to support our finance team during a busy three-month period. This role combines accounting and financial planning responsibilities, requiring strong NetSuite expertise and experience in the biotech/pharma industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting

• Perform month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidations.
• Manage accruals, including clinical trial and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare monthly close workbooks and supporting documents.
• Handle stock-based compensation accounting and foreign currency complexities.

FP&A

• Consolidate actuals into forecast models.
• Generate financial reports to assist in decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Advanced NetSuite user (required).
• Background in biotech/pharma (required).
• Experience with international accounting and exposure to IFRS preferred.
• Strong skills in month-end close, financial consolidations, and reconciliations.

Reporting Structure:

• Reports to the Interim Controller and Interim Head of Finance (Boston-based).
