Finance Manager (Hybrid, Boston)
A highly successful alternative asset management firm, located in Boston, is actively seeking a seasoned accounting and finance professional to join their team! This person will cover a wide array of traditional finance and accounting functions and ideally has a background in public accounting, partnered with private industry accounting/fund accounting experience within a financial services/private equity setting. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing GAAP Basis Reporting and Audit
- Works cross-functionally with tax teams/departments regarding tax implications of investment transactions
- Responsible for creating waterfall analyses and fund performance
- Reviewing fund activities and ensuring compliance with multiple partner agreements
- Works very closely with CFO and VP of Finance
- General accounting responsibilities, including: cash flow management, capital calls and distributions
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of experience within public accounting, or a mix of public accounting and private industry (fund accounting) experience within a financial services company, preferably private equity/venture capital
- Bachelor’s Degree mandatory (Accounting, Finance or Related field)
- CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Exceptional Microsoft Office Skills
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid schedule
