This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial planning and execution: Actively create, implement, and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational needs.
- Financial analysis and strategy: Analyze trends, budgets, cash flow, and key financial metrics, while actively developing financial strategies to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
- Financial reporting: Prepare and ensure the timely completion of financial reports. Actively revise and improve reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare financial regulations.
- Internal controls and compliance: Establish, revise, and continually improve internal controls to ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA and anesthesia billing standards.
- Financial operations: Directly oversee and improve day-to-day financial operations, including accounting processes, invoice payments, payroll, and revenue cycle management.
- Standardization and process development: Develop, implement, and refine financial processes, establishing best practices for consistent and efficient financial operations.
- Cost optimization: Actively identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency, especially in relation to anesthesia services.
- Financial strategy and forecasting: Collaborate with the leadership team to establish long-term financial strategies that align with the organization's growth and healthcare service goals.
- Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide full-picture analytics, ensuring that financial strategies align with operational and clinical goals for optimal decision-making.
- Financial advisement and communication: Advise executives on financial decisions, offering clear insights to guide strategic actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, accounting, or business or a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on healthcare finance strongly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Chartered Financial Analysts (CFAs), or Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) are preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail especially in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
