Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Rockford, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Travel to customer facilities for implementation of the safeguarding equipment for length of project.
Identify and deactivate active power sources and install electrical controls, switches and machine guarding.
Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Plan, implement and execute turnkey safety integration projects.
Conduct thorough electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures.
Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients and team members.
Ensure accuracy of all installation items required for projects by conducting quality control checks upon completion of installation project.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License is a must.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and wiring experience.
- Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
