About the Job
One of our top clients is seeking a Field Service Specialist-CO2 to join their team.
This position will be responsible for CO2 related field service, including but not limited to, programming of Retail Solutions products, services, and commissioning services of new installation, retrofit, and existing sites. Retail Customers and OEM sponsored visits for installation, programming, start-up, commissioning, training, and troubleshooting of products and services offered by Retail Solutions are required. Fieldwork will be required with extensive overnight travel, typically 75-80% and limited weekend work. Interaction with contractors will extend to validation, training, and recommendation. This CO2 Specialist is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport and communications with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
TECHNICAL
-
Perform work related tasks according to company guidelines
-
Maintain Subject Matter Expert level of CO2 products, services, and applications

Keep current on Field Change Notices, and Service Tips
-
Maintain proficiency in all products and services that the company offers. This includes installation, programming, and equipment protocol.

Maintain proficiency in all designated third-party products and services.
-
Provide onsite termination of low voltage control wires.
-
Provide onsite startup of Solutions products with emphasis on CO2 equipment. (Ensure equipment is operational and free of defects).

Equipment programming and commissioning.
-
Provide standard and emergency service. (As assigned to maintain customer site)

Review store prints and specifications
-
Optimize CO2 controls and equipment for energy savings
-
Perform site surveys for remodels/retrofits
SAFETY
-
Keep current on safety bulletins and safety field change notices.
-
Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines
-
Must wear appropriate PPE as per company guidelines and accordance with job duties
-
Report all work related accidents or injuries within 24 hours to the appropriate personnel.

Participate in Safety Audits with your Supervisor/Manager

Perform Environmental and Health (EHS) surveys on every site visit
ADMINISTRATION
-
Complete paperwork such as Service Work Requests, timesheets, expense reports, and Field Service Reports in a timely manner.

Communicate with Technical Support on equipment issues.
-
Document and inform Field Services Management.

Customer telephone and e-mail technical support.
-
Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines.
-
Provide estimated time of arrival to the Customer where applicable.
-
Maintain company property according to company policies.
-
PPE, test equipment, laptop, truck stock, cell phone, etc.
-

Assist with scheduling your time.

Assist in finalizing and formatting customer reports
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

Provide proper and adequate communication to internal and external customers.

Provide estimated time of arrival to the customer where applicable

Complete documentation properly and provide to the customer and Kennesaw office upon completion of each designated assignment

Strive to provide all customers a “first time fix” for their equipment

Maintain customer satisfaction rates according to company guidelines

Attend Customer Meetings as required
TRAINING / LEADING

Assume other Subject Matter Expert (SME) duties as designated by your Supervisor/Manager

Provide impromptu training for onsite contractors and users.

Mentor and train Co-Workers on CO2 products, programming and applications as needed

Perform related duties as assigned by the Manager.

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Associate’s (AA) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school along with 10 years related HVAC/R experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Client Office suite
-
Certified in the use and handling of HFC, HCFC, CO2, A2L refrigerants.

Specific supermarket CO2 experience in the field, startup of Cascade systems, Transcritical, Booster/Parallel systems preferred
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Extensive overnight travel, 75-80% or more can be expected, along with possible, but very limited weekend work.
