Nesco Resource is seeking a Server Break Fix Engineer in the greater Ashburn VA area.
This is a direct hire opportunity to work with a premier IT Service Delivery Integrator.
Experience with Dell Server Break Fix is a must.
Hands on Server Part Swap is a must
Job Description
Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots hardware/server, storage array, printer, and tape library issues with focus on responsiveness; provides issue resolution.
Maintains inventory and documentation of activity.
Escalates more complex issues to 2nd level.
Provides 1st level 24/7 break-fix support for IT hardware as specified by or utilized in customer environment.
Familiarity with desktop support and deployment
Provide project support as well as on-call support for incoming tickets
Required Skills
Tech should have some server break fix background on Dell/Client and IBM X86 servers and should be able to describe troubleshooting process on those platforms. Oracle server experience a plus.
Tech needs to be organized in keeping parts inventory in place.
Tech should have experience in call tracking platforms.
Desired Skills
Troubleshooting skills on hardware and the ability to verbalize the steps in that process
Desktop skills including Win 10 migration, imaging, and troubleshooting
Required Years of Experience
3-5 years of practical experience in Break fix, at a minimum
Additional Information
The position is supporting the hardware break fix requirements in the Ashburn area with a radius of 2 hour drive. The technician will work from home until a requirement is needed on site. Technician will be supporting multiple clients and locations.
The position is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, On call after hours and weekends manadatory
Must be open to OT
Candidate must be able to function without direct supervision.
