Field Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience working with a construction general contractor or heavy civil contractor, either through an internship or career experience. This role involves supporting field operations, ensuring quality control, and assisting with project documentation and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily field operations and monitor project progress.
- Help with the management of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of as-built drawings, surveys, and other project documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide support in resolving technical issues and challenges in the field.
- Ensure that project materials and equipment are available and meet quality standards.
- Assist with data collection and reporting for project tracking and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction industry (internship or career experience) with a general contractor or heavy civil contractor.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in construction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Familiarity with surveying and field measurement tools.
