Job Function:
Conducts comprehensive history and physical examinations.
Manages primary medical care for all ages, addressing both acute and chronic conditions.
Provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Buprenorphine therapy.
Assesses patient conditions, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate interventions.
Documents clinical information in electronic health records.
Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Performs direct patient care procedures.
Participates in developing care standards and quality assurance programs.
Coordinates medical consultations and patient transfers.
Provides emergency medical care and advocates for patients.
Attends medical department meetings and maintains patient records.
Educates patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
Job Requirements:
New York State licensure and registration as a Nurse Practitioner.
Certification in Nursing practice or expertise in HIV/AIDS medicine.
Preferred experience with electronic health records.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
Maintenance of required CMEs/CEUs.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
