We are looking to hire a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive evaluation and to treat the adult substance abuse population, chemical abusers with mental health problems, and mentally ill patients.The Nurse Practitioner will screen patients for admission or provide sick calls. Additionally, candidate will assess prospective patients for admission to detoxify and rehabilitate to the facility (ACI) for appropriate level of care.

 Responsibilities:

• Conduct admission and physical
  
• History and physical exam
  
• Prescribe medication and drugs
  
• Medication review
  
• Examine, diagnose and treat patients with medical illnesses resulting from chronic substance use disorders
  
• Evaluate, make recommendations, co-manage and treat patients' medical needs for safe and high-quality treatment
  
• Create a warm and welcoming environment 
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

o   Nursing degree from accredited college/university.

o   Currently licensed by the State Nursing or Medical Licensures Board as a Nurse Practitioner and in good standing.

o   Experience in substance abuse treatment ideal

o   Must have DEA license and XDEA license for OBOT locations

o   Valid state Nurse Practitioner License

o   Master of Science in Nursing

o   Meet the qualifications of, and practice within the parameters as stated in Chapter 257 of the New York State Education Law, Article 139,

Benefits

Compensation:

Salary in the range of $130,000 - $140,000 annually (commensurate based on experience) with lots of growth potential!
