Position: Family Law Attorney - flexible schedule
I am partnered with a fantastic midsized law firm in New Jersey seeking a Family Law Attorney for a remote position.As a Family Law Attorney, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families by providing expert legal guidance and representation in matters related to family law and child abuse cases.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, domestic violence, and other related issues
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements
- Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Essential Job Functions:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of family law regulations and legal procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the State Bar and good standing
- Minimum of 3-12 years of experience practicing family law
- Proven track record of success in handling complex family law cases
- Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills
- Proficient in legal research and case management software
