Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and operations for a private oceanfront estate in Delray Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have in-house experience working with a General Contractor (GC) or construction firm, ensuring expertise in managing both an in-house maintenance team and a network of outside vendors. This full-time, live-out role offers a competitive salary and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Maintenance: Supervise daily maintenance of all estate facilities, ensuring optimal functionality of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
- Team and Vendor Oversight: Lead a 4-person maintenance team on-site and coordinate with external vendors, including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC specialists, ensuring high standards and seamless collaboration.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure longevity and reliability of estate facilities and equipment.
- Project Management: Oversee renovation and repair projects, managing timelines, budgets, and quality.
- Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regularly inspect property for hazards, and address issues swiftly.
- Grounds and Landscaping: Maintain the estate’s grounds year-round, including gardens, lawns, pool areas, and beachfront.
- Budget Management: Assist the Estate Manager in preparing and managing the facilities budget, tracking expenditures.
- Inventory and Supplies: Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability and functionality.
- Emergency Response: Be on call for urgent maintenance needs, addressing emergencies as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, with in-house experience at a GC or construction firm preferred.
- Experience managing a private estate or working with a private family
- Excellent references from previous employers
- Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
- Strong project management skills, handling multiple priorities effectively.
- Leadership and team management experience with the ability to oversee both internal staff and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Flexibility to respond to emergencies as needed.
- Knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and US work authorization.
