Job Description:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the manufacturing facility with regard to all controls and some electrical projects. This position supports all Maintenance tasks related to preventive maintenance, updating, repairing, optimizing and installing existing and new controls equipment. This position also supports electrical projects initiated by Maintenance work orders, Maintenance Management or Project Engineering personnel.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician III works as a lead Technician assisting other technicians on how to perform critical repairs and are responsible for the facility with regard to all controls and some electrical projects. This position supports all Maintenance tasks related to preventive maintenance, updating, repairing, optimizing and installing existing and new equipment. This position also supports maintenance projects initiated by Maintenance work orders, Maintenance Management or Project Engineering personnel.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot problems, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and boiler steam systems.
- Provide low voltage (<480V) electrical assistance, as required, and provide support for facility renovations, equipment installations, maintenance work orders, etc.
- Read and understand construction and machine blue prints, to include machine drawings, building construction floor plans, P&ID diagrams, electrical drawings, schematics for pneumatic, gas supply, vacuum and high pressure piping systems.
- Understand AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and measuring techniques.
- Understand the proper use of engineering and maintenance documentation required under cGMPs. Examples include the Maintenance Work Order System, the Critical Change Request System, SOP documentation, Validation documentation, etc.
Qualifications:
Technician II:
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years related experience required.
- Specific coursework with HVAC and Steam Systems desired. Refrigeration License, Gas Mechanics License and Boiler License desired.
- FDA Regulated Industry Experience desired.
- The incumbent must possess the knowledge typically attained through successful completion of a technical program working with refrigeration systems and boiler, steam and hot water heating systems in a technical discipline or a technical certification with 2 to 4 years of practical experience. This includes the ability to write detailed reports to document work completed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted, pushing, and pulling. Exposure to allergens and ability to work in confined spaces.
Technician III (in addition to above):
- Technical certification required.
- Minimum 5 years related experience required
- HVAC and Steam Systems experience desired. Lead experience desired.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment required.
Shift: Day
Compensation:
- Technician II: This position pays $27.02 - 36.53 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
- Technician III: This position pays $30.00 - $40.59 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises
