Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary
This on-site position in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, provides Facilities maintenance and operations support at the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Powertrain Operations (PTO) manufacturing site. Responsibilities include managing Facilities services and vendors, collaborating with manufacturing personnel on systems and equipment maintenance, and working with Project Management on various Facilities projects.
Candidates should have a background in Facilities maintenance and operations, preferably in manufacturing, and will manage the PTO's annual operating budget. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
This role reports to Central Facilities Operations, with secondary accountability to PTO Plant Operations.
Job Responsibilities
Facilities Operations:
- Manage third-party vendor personnel and services.
- Ensure real-time accountability of on-site contractors, providing input on work scope and expectations.
- Oversee work orders for facility-related issues.
- Become a subject matter expert on facilities infrastructure, systems, utilities, and equipment, leading troubleshooting efforts.
- Support site assessments with inspectors and officials.
- Coordinate the annual Plant Power Outage.
- Maintain the annual operating budget for PTO Facilities, collaborating with Corporate Facilities, Finance, and PTO leaders.
- Participate in regular Safety Observation Tours with PTO Safety and Leadership.
- Support site layout planning and updates, including CAD drafting.
- Collaborate with PTO Plant leadership, manufacturing, operations, logistics, and maintenance teams.
- Work with Central Facilities Projects on capital equipment budget forecasting and planning.
- Manage select projects and support project close-out processes, including validating Facilities Requirements and asset identification.
General:
- Become proficient in Harley-Davidson’s key operational, safety, security, procurement, financial, IT, and cross-functional processes related to Facilities operations.
- Be available off-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to oversee critical projects or urgent facility incidents.
- Limited travel is expected within the greater Milwaukee area.
- Handle general Facilities maintenance, operations, and project tasks as assigned.
Education Requirements
Education Specifications
Preference for individual with Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Facilities or Architectural Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Project Management, or a similar field of study.
Experience Requirements
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of Facilities or General Construction Project Management and/or Facilities Management experience.
- Strong preference for experience with critical systems within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Data Analytics – developing, tracking, and analyzing Key Performance Metrics for Facilities Service Delivery.
- Experience with financial management, including annual or multi-year accounting and financial tracking, OpEx and CapEx budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience with management agreements and construction contract language.
- AutoCAD drafting experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) through the Association of Facilities Engineering, Project Management Professional (PMP), International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) industry certifications preferred; other related building engineering, business or technical training or certifications preferred.
- Strong with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
