Facilities Coordinator

A Typical Day
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring safe and
efficient operation of all Facilities related equipment with special
emphasis on the Ammonia Refrigeration, High Pressure Steam, Water
Delivery systems along with all related processes and equipment.
Additionally, the Facilities Coordinator manages non-Production related
Maintenance activities, develop, implement and coordinate both short and
long range capital plans that meet the Strategic Plan objectives for the
Facilities area of Hilmar Cheese Company.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Plant Safety Coordinator to ensure all RMP and PSM
related requirements are met and implemented in a timely manner.
- Provides direction, development and leadership to Facilities
maintenance supervision and technicians.
- Continue development and implementation of Facilities area
preventive maintenance program utilizing CMMS and related systems.
- Ensure compliance of all emission standards for Facilities equipment
per the San Joaquin Valley Unified Pollution Control District.
- Comply and lead audits of Cal-OSHA PSM, County CUPA, Federal EPA PSM
and CDF.
- Monitor and maintain all equipment within the plants Facilities
area. This area includes: boilers; chemical pumps; condensate return
systems; air compressors; HVAC; ammonia refrigeration systems;
compressed air, potable water systems and water softeners.
- Coordinate any routine or major maintenance that could have
implications on the daily production schedule with the Maintenance
manager, Maintenance Supervisors, Plant Managers and Production
Supervisors.
- Ensure that daily analysis and chemical treatment of Facilities
equipment are completed.
- Timely analysis and repair of all breakdowns within the Facilities
area utilizing PDM.
- Evaluate the need for equipment upgrades and modifications for all
Facilities equipment.
- Evaluate and make changes to equipment computer programs and control
panels.
- Ensure proper billing and monitoring of all outside agencies
performing maintenance within the Facilities area.
- Research and order the necessary parts needed to maintain Facilities
equipment.
- Monitor all data collection such as: plant and facilities
checklists; monthly fire system tests and all gas meter logs per
SJVUPCD requirements.
- Aid the Maintenance Manager in the evaluation of the future
equipment requirements and outside support agencies.
- Monitor and protect all resources and equipment maintained in the
Facilities area.
- Ensure all safety equipment is available and all safety procedures
are followed including compliance with all RMP, PSM, OSHA, and Cal
OSHA guidelines.
- Monitor and ensure proper handling and storage for all Facility
related chemicals.
- Prepare design concept drawings, cost estimates and projec scoping
for annual Capital Plans.
- Implement annual Capital Plan in specific area of responsibility.
Coordinate projects to minimize Plant downtime while completing
projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure Facility compliance with all State and Federal guidelines
regarding Ammonia Safety emission limits.
What You Will Need
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
4+ years of relevant maintenance experience in advanced leadership role.
Strong knowledge of all types of electrical systems including PLC, Line
and Control circuitry.
Software program proficiency in: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
