Daily Responsibilities:
- Weld carbon steel, aluminum, and/or stainless steel for high temperature or high pressure applications
- Be able to read and understand shop standards, WPS’s, OSWI’s & work instructions.
- Be able to spot common weld defects and know the proper way to address or correct.
- Use either manual, semi-automatic or automatic weld method
- Weld joints manually in all positions
- Clean welds by chipping, grinding, and apply welding methods to avoid excessive weld shrinkage or distortion
- Ensure that work qualifies in accordance with ASME specifications or other requirements applicable to welding products
- Apply familiarity with the quality requirements of welds and able to meet these requirements and to determine whether they are being met as the work progresses
- Work at elevated heights up to 75ft
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Ability to pass a ASME IX code test
- High school diploma or GED
- High school technical welding program or equivalent and/or 3-5 yrs minimum experience as a welder (education may be substituted by extended experience).
- 38.50/hr paid every two weeks through Volt Workforce Solutions
- 1st shift
Duration:
- Up to twelve months contingent through Volt Workforce Solutions
