Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, such as affidavits, memo, briefs, declarations etc.
- Answer phones and interact with potential clients.
- Communicate case status updates to attorneys through detailed notes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Answer phones and interact with potential clients.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
- Assist in preparing attorneys for Immigration USCIS cases.
- Coordinate with government agencies, courts, and other parties involved in immigration processes.
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and interviews for attorneys and clients.
- Manage Attorneys' court appearances using Calendaring system.
- Prepare various forms of relief and understand the distinctions between them.
- Proofread documents for accuracy.
- Scan, photocopy, and file documents.
- Enter client data accurately.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including accounts receivable.
- Assist with miscellaneous clerical and office admin tasks.
- Maintain organized case files.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ year detailed experience working as an Immigration Paralegal.
- Proficient in Spanish a plus.
- Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with immigration case managment or similar document management software.
- EOIR Court Procedure, ability to draft Memo's, Motions, Briefs.
- Proficiency in Westlaw or other legal research tools.
- Professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
