Description of Work UnitColorado State University's Division of University Operations serves the University through leadership in organizational development and sustainable resource management. The University Operations team utilizes the most efficient and innovative administrative practices while leveraging strategic partnerships with internal and external partners. The division plans and maintains the university's buildings, grounds, and infrastructure through sustainable construction and renovations of existing buildings to support the university's future growth. The budget and financial services teams coordinate and manage the university's budget and financial processes supporting an operating budget of $1.3B and ensures that finite resources are deployed in an efficient, effective manner using sound financial practices. The members of the safety and risk services team promote safety on campus for our employees, students, and guests by assessing and mitigates risk to employees and students, including injury prevention and public safety services.
Position SummaryThe Executive Project Coordinator is a full-time professional role reporting directly to the Vice President of University Operations & CFO (VPUO). This position emphasizes project management, analysis, and support for complex projects. Responsibilities include coordinating retreats and work sessions with executives and staff, managing tasks, tracking project progress, and preparing detailed status reports. The role involves researching and documenting projects, gathering and summarizing data, and analyzing complex operational issues. Additionally, the position will write and edit reports, compile background information, and support decision-making processes through well-researched recommendations.
Required Job Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in project management, research, or executive-level support in a large organization.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data collection and summarizing.
- Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on producing high-quality reports and summaries.
- Proven experience in process improvement and workflow analysis in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis, with the ability to interpret metrics and identify trends to inform process decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in process mapping tools and techniques.
- Experience in coordinating executive retreats or similar events.
- Proficiency in project management software and workflow systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of university operations and complex organizational structures.
Demonstrated knowledge of, and relevant ability with, culturally diverse communities among potential target and constituent populations.
