About the Job
We currently have an opportunity for an Executive Legal Assistant with a growing law firm in Somerville, NJ (zip code 08876) The Executive Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support for the Managing Partner of the firm.
Position responsibilities are:
- Handle scheduling including agendas, mail, email, phone calls, client management, and other company logistics
- Act as the point of contact between the Managing Partner and internal/external parties-
- Draft, review, file, and maintain legal documents
- Coordinate complex scheduling and calendar management, as well as content and flow of information to senior executives
- Organize team communications and plan events, both internal and off-site
- Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- File documents with the court and other relevant agencies
- Involvement in marketing and business development
- Manage/maintain paper and electronic files for cases from case inception to completion.
- Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls.
Position requirements are:
- At least 5- years of supporting high-level attorneys, preferably a managing partner
- Excellent proofreading skills with high attention to detail
- Must be assertive and confident with a proactive work style attuned to schedules and preparing files in advance of meetings.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail is an absolute must
- Ability to organize and manage competing priorities and projects while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work
