ABOUT AAIC
Inspired by diverse faiths and shared values, our organization has over 77 years of experience in providing comfort and care to our community. Attleboro Area Interfaith Collaborative (AAIC) advances a healthy, secure, and meaningful life for all within our community. With multi-faith understanding and compassion, we work to alleviate hunger, promote stability, and inspire the community to thrive. It is an honor to be an organization to which people turn to in times of need.
AAIC operates in a holistic and compassionate manner, addressing our neighbors’ physical needs and spiritual needs - through our Food n’ Friends Program and our Interfaith Chaplaincy Program.
We operate 10 daily kitchens in six towns, and work to provide meals to families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet. Our goal is to advance healthy, secure, meaningful life for all within the community, including:
- Working families, trying to stretch their paychecks and feed their children
- Unhoused individuals who are unable to cook and store their own food
- Seniors who live on fixed incomes and may have limited mobility
- Neighbors who are isolated, ill, or physically unable to get to meal sites
- Food n’ Friend guests, who often take extra Meal-to-Go home on a Friday to have nourishment throughout the weekend.
Our Daily Kitchens have been in operation since 1985, and we served our One Millionth Meal in October of 2023! In 2023, Food n’ Friends served 46,549 meals in a single year. Hunger is not just about food. AAIC provides hospitality, connectedness and support – and helps to lessen the isolation of our elderly, unhoused, and at-risk neighbors.
