Summary
The Events Engineer - Livestream & Recordings is responsible for overseeing the technical design, implementation, and continual evolution of the processes and tools used in hybrid event production. This role acts as the technical supervisor of any given event, working closely with Hybrid Technical Leads with providing technical approval, guidance, and process improvements while ensuring that equipment, software, and workflows utilized across our events are up-to-date, efficient, and reliable.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:
+ Dallas, TX
+ Las Vegas, NV
+ Chicago, IL
+ Orlando, FL
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Serves as the technical supervisor for Hybrid Technical Leads, reviewing and approving event designs, equipment orders, and labor requirements
+ Owns, builds, and evolves Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various products and tools used in hybrid events such as laptop capture kits, Pearl encoders, and video conferencing setups
+ Collaborates with management to develop training cadences that ensure all technical staff are proficient in the company’s evolving tools and processes
+ Ensures consistency in the deployment of hybrid event systems and processes across global locations
+ Troubleshoots and provides advanced technical support for complex event setups, both remotely and on-site when required
+ Continuously improves processes, working to simplify event production tools and ensure they are easy to support by less experienced on-site technicians
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
+ College degree preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant professional work experience required
+ Minimum 5 years of hybrid/virtual event experience, with 2+ years in a technical leadership or supervisory role
+ Strong experience supporting AV installations within convention and hotel spaces, including integration of livestreaming, recording, and video conferencing systems
+ Deep proficiency in livestreaming and recording equipment, software, and workflows, including OBS, Zoom, and other industry-standard tools
+ Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical teams
+ Hands-on experience with office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
