Your Role with the Company:
The Sous Chef supports the Head Chef in all event operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and execute culinary services for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale occasions of up to 200 guests
- Prepare fine dining menus, including multi-course meals, for high-profile clients and exclusive events
- Coordinate off-site events at private estates, homes, and other exclusive locations
- Collaborate on elaborate event concepts and deliver exceptional cuisine tailored to guest preferences and event themes
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation, showcasing creativity and attention to detail
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation requirements
- Willingness to travel 10-15% for off-site events and private functions
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years as a Sous Chef for a high-volume ($7M+) fine-dining and/or Michelin restaurant group with an events program
- Proven flexibility and adaptability, with ability to pivot seamlessly between tasks and changing needs.
- Dynamic and versatile culinary skills, capable of executing both small, intimate gatherings and large-scale events
- Extensive fine dining experience with a focus on high-quality cuisine and presentation
- Previous experience working in a restaurant group with an events program, demonstrating a strong understanding of event operations and logistics
- Ability to travel 10-15% for off-site events and private functions
