About the Job
Position Summary:
The Events Lead – Learning Programs is responsible for leading event planning and management of learning programs for FOX with a specific emphasis in the area of Rising Gen Programming and Workshops in addition to other programming as required.
Working in close collaboration with the Events department leader, Knowledge Center, Content Development Team, Membership and other Program Leads, the role is a critical part of delivering flawlessly executed, high-touch, complex hybrid learning event programming. This role may also include direct supervision as well as mentoring other members on the Events team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Planning (Estimated 70%)
Leads event planning and execution for Rising Gen Programming including Rising Gen Forum and Rising Gen Leadership Programs.
Leads event planning and execution for workshops (Member and Advisory).
Leads event planning and execution for all DIN and RG Network meetings.
Collaborates with Department leader on pre-launch planning for all Workshops, Rising Gen Forums, and Rising Gen Leadership Programs.
Participates in planning and execution of other Forums and events as assigned.
Closely collaborates with the marketing team to ensure the effective creation and implementation of the marketing plan.
Sourcing venues and vendors, negotiating contracts, managing room blocks, creating event specifications, managing speakers, speaker prep calls, and producing collateral.
Tracks and responds to event registration trends.
Runs event-specific team meetings.
Maintains event websites as needed.
Speaker, content, and presentation management as needed.
Collateral production as needed.
Sponsor Management as needed.
Managing budgets and projections.
Creates and manages full project timelines.
Operates Zoom and other event technologies as needed.
General Operations (Estimated 20%)
Builds and re-designs processes with a focus on efficiencies and automation of manual processes.
Works with Department leader on report and contracting related activities (Events dashboard, contract review and processing, etc.)
Other management and project related duties
Leadership (Estimated 10%)
Collaborates with the Department leader on new departmental initiatives and programs.
Mentors other members of the Events team as needed.
Ideal Professional Experience
Bachelor’s degree
CMP is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of years of related experience in the events field with progressive increasing responsibilities.
Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.
Prior experience working with CRM and registration systems (CVENT experience a plus).
High level of Zoom and related technology experience, both meetings and webinar. Able to run live programs as the primary operator.
Tech savvy, able to intuitively navigate varying technologies.
Basic experience with Audio Visual Equipment.
Adept with data and marketing initiatives.
High level of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Strong reading comprehension and writing skills.
Able to work independently and as a team player.
Diplomatic and high level of poise, tact, and discretion. Able to interact with C-Level executives.
Grace under pressure and can-do attitude.
Able to lift 25 pounds.
Travel less than 20%.
Able to work weekends/evenings as event schedules/workloads demand.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an entrepreneurial environment including outstanding cross-departmental project management and personal time management.
Must be proactive and able to take the initiative to move issues or projects to closure without supervision.
