1. Drafting, reviewing, and advising on a wide array of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Providing comprehensive legal advice to high net worth individuals and families regarding tax-efficient strategies, wealth preservation, and intergenerational wealth transfer.
3. Representing clients in probate and trust administration matters.
4. Advising clients on estate and gift tax planning, charitable planning, and business succession planning.
5. Conducting legal research and staying updated on current laws and regulations related to estate planning and probate law.
Job Details
The ideal candidate for the Estate Planning Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Maryland Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, with a particular emphasis on high net worth trusts and estates.
4. Profound knowledge of federal and state tax laws as they relate to estate planning.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
