A Brief Overview
The Escrow/Insurance Specialist I services the Bank's loan escrow and insurance tracking portfolio while following established lending policies and procedures. This position involves learning all aspects of insurance tracking and begins a basic knowledge of loan escrow accounts. The Escrow/Insurance Specialist I is a multi-functional, customer-oriented individual who relies on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform the functions of this job. The Escrow/Insurance Specialist I report to the department supervisor.
What you will do
- Input data entry and maintenance of escrow records on all loan types on the Bank's core system
- Process additional payments to escrow including but not limited to tax/insurance refunds and shortage payments
- Track tax and insurance status on escrow and non-escrow loans that are secured by real estate
- Scan and upload insurance mail received daily to electronic file and insurance tracking vendor
- Answer incoming customer calls with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Communicate questions about documents or loan data to Escrow/Insurance Lead, Escrow/Insurance Supervisor, or Loan Servicing Manager
- Upload loan documentation to electronic file
- Adhere to Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations
- Monitor Insurance/Loss Settlement tickets on Znuny
- Work with customer and their contractors on their insurance claims
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Escrow/Insurance Supervisor, Loan Servicing Manager, or Loan Operations Manager
- Assist other co-workers and willingly cross-train in other areas as needed
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree and Minimum 2 Years Retail Banking Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 Years Loan Servicing Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
