AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist for employment in the Honolulu, Hawaii office. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM. You will gain experience in your discipline through learning on the job and participate in development opportunities during the program, including access to AECOM's social media resources, group mentoring, and professional networking. The program also has learning activities that will be available to you, including webinars and on-line programs.

This position is expected to begin in March 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.
• Collects and enters data, and applies technical principles and theories.
• Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Entry-level position; may not require previous experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, and Geology.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. 
• As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Ability to successfully obtain a DBIDs pass to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
• Relevant years of work experience.
• Experience military emergency response and environmental projects
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
• Experience using ArcGIS and generating maps and report figures.
• Excellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills), organization, time management.
• Ability to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors.

• Relocation assistance is available for this role.
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
• Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.
• Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
