Role Description:
We are seeking an Environmental Health Safety Coordinator to join our team at Enduro Composites located in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, on-site role. This team member will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Responsibilities also include:
· Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
· Complete in field "coaching" to assure that all employees are observing, following, and understanding safety programs and the ability to understand and follow regulatory guidelines.
· Coordinate and conduct regular safety training programs for employees.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
· Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets (SDS).
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote continuous improvement in safety performance.
· Monitor environmental aspects related to manufacturing processes, waste management, and pollution prevention efforts.
· Completed all required reporting for air, waste, and water requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
· Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant safety and environmental standards.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate employees at all levels.
· Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Computer skills, MS Office Suite.
· Certification such as Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) is a plus.
