Environmental Compliance Manager
Exciting Opportunity: Lead and oversee the dynamic growth of an environmental compliance department within a well-established engineering company, proudly certified as a Minority owned for 64 years. The Environmental Compliance Manager role entails managing and conducting E&S and stormwater inspections on construction projects to uphold compliance with pertinent codes and regulations. Collaborate closely with the leadership team to foster departmental expansion in both public and private sectors.
Responsibilities for Environmental Compliance Manager:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction projects to ensure adherence to erosion and sediment control, as well as stormwater management guidelines stipulated by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).
- Examines construction methods and materials used to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, according to approved plans, materials, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and notices of violation.
Qualifications for Environmental Compliance Manager:
- Demonstrate initiative and sound independent judgment in managing both technical and administrative aspects of assigned responsibilities.
- Possess a customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills, characterized by clarity and professionalism.
- Three or more years of experience in E&S and stormwater management inspections; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Accumulate three or more years of experience in E&S and stormwater management inspections, or an equivalent blend of training and practical experience that equips with requisite skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Obtain State DEQ certifications as an Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector and Stormwater Inspector.
