Pay Range: 35 - 40/hr, W 2
1 hire for Eastern Virginia/North Carolina region
" If on-site, which location will contractor report to?
Various client Energy locations and project construction sites associated with Electric Transmission Our team reports out of Innsbrook but these folks will be in the field per respective region.
" Will travel be required for this position? If so, how often?
Yes, daily travel. Greater than 50% of job responsibilities.
" What schedule is the candidate required to work? Dependent on position, but typically 4 9 hour days or 5 8 hour days per week.
o The CVOW scope will require someone to work night shift and someone to work day shift. We will likely need to increase staffing for this project after it starts but having two folks this summer to become available is critical.
" At any time is overtime required or would you say it is just available as a function of the job? OT is not always required but it does occur, and we will pay OT rates.

Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various Energy Virginia/North Carolina locations and project construction sites associated with Electric Transmission operational teams. Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures. Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers. Support Energy and contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management. Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and for other environmental compliance topics and requirements.
" What are the top (at least 3 if possible) must have skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
1. Understanding of erosion and sediment control and stormwater management, as it relates to the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
2. Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit, and plan requirements into compliance guidance.
3. Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for multimedia environmental scope and permits.
" What are the top nice to have skill sets?
1. Understanding of other environmental regulations and requirements like Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC), National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Hazardous Waste and Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), Superfund and Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC).
2. Offshore environmental training (Eastern Virginia/North Carolina only).
3. Other licenses/certifications: CESSWI, HAZWOPER 40, Certified Hazardous Materials Handler, International Society of Arborists, Lead/Asbestos, Pesticides.
