Join a well-established law firm recognized for their environmental law practice. We are searching for a motivated mid-level associate attorney with a strong background in environmental law. This role offers the opportunity to engage directly with clients and handle all aspects of litigation from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will possess strong independent working capabilities, superior communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to legal practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cases throughout the litigation process, including drafting and responding to pleadings
- Conduct comprehensive discovery, including propounding and responding to requests
- Attend and represent the firm at court hearings
- Assist in trial preparation and strategy development
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Active California bar license
- 5+ years of experience in environmental and/or complex litigation
- Experience with, or demonstrated interest in, the major environmental statutes, such as the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and CERCLA
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team managing aspects throughout all phases of litigation
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work well under deadlines
- Exceptional analytical, research, writing, and communication skills
