Responsibilities include receiving the eggs, maintaining the floor inventory of eggs, preparing the egg sets, candling of the eggs to determine fertility and residue break out of non-fertile eggs. Employees will also maintain the cleanliness of the egg room. Maintain accurate egg inventory Prepare the eggs to be set Candle eggs for determining % fertility. Provide a hatch estimate for each set. Break out infertile eggs. Maintain egg rack inventory. Inventory must be maintained by ranch and lay date;verify incoming egg receipts;balance inventory Identify the eggs to be set, oldest eggs to be set first. The number of trays to be set per incubator, determine the time eggs will be set, Input data into computer. Select the trays for candling. Determine infertile eggs with light. Input data into computer. Use fertility information. Input data into computer. Categorize results of egg break out. Make sure the ranches have the necessary empty egg racks.
