You'll collaborate with engineers through all stages of prototype testing, from fixture creation to failure analysis and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to assemble power electronic systems and prototypes.
- Operate electronic lab instruments, including soldering irons, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Create and implement test plans for prototype switching mode power supplies.
- Troubleshoot and identify potential failure trends in prototype switching mode power supplies.
- Set up testing environments for power electronics systems, including wiring, loads, and data acquisition.
- Conduct design verification tests using thermal chambers and vibration tables.
- Generate detailed test reports.
- Perform EMC baseline testing, coordinate with external labs for compliance testing, and prepare necessary test equipment and fixtures.
- Work with New Product Introduction and Operations teams to transition final products to production.
- Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a H.S. diploma/GED required; Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technology or similar discipline preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working with electronics preferred.
- Practical understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.).
- Mechanical experience and ability to read and understand schematics.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
