Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 for a Contract job with a client in Southington, CT. Thisrole requires a strong ability to troubleshoot equipment and understand basic engineering terminology.

 

Rate Range: $21.84/hour to $28.82/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Engineering Technician I - Shift 1 job responsibilities include:

• Assisting in lab, inventory, and equipment maintenance to support R&D and product development.

• Performing research, building prototypes, and conducting tests to validate product designs and test methods.

• Preparing data collection worksheets, entering test data, and conducting basic data analysis.

• Supporting process improvements in the lab through participation in 6S and lean initiatives.

• Coordinating with cross-functional departments on manufacturing trial runs, sterilization, and project-related tasks.

• Managing sample inventory, including aging studies and project timelines, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

• Engaging in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives to foster a safe and compliant work environment.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required, associate’s degree in a related technical or engineering field preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an engineering technician in a manufacturing or testing environment, or equivalent education.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, engineering drawings, and documentation.

• Familiarity with GMP/FDA/ISO 9001 principles, lean methods, and basic statistical terms.

Pay Details: $21.84 to $28.82 per hour
