Compensation: $65,000 - $110,000 per year, DOE
Position Summary:
A well-established surgical instrument manufacturing company in Beverly, MA, is seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Technician to join its team. This role supports production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing equipment to maximize production efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge production technology and custom automation in a stable, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform both corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Inventory & Spare Parts Management: Oversee spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available and production lines remain uninterrupted.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including troubleshooting PLCs (especially Allen-Bradley/RSLogix), mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Automation Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors in the design, testing, and installation of custom automation systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout, while reading and interpreting technical schematics to perform maintenance safely and accurately.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical, Controls, or Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in automated manufacturing maintenance, with expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including PLCs and robotics.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical schematics; Allen-Bradley/RSLogix experience preferred; machine-shop skills, such as machining or fabrication, are a plus.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
