Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Solar Project Engineering Lead to oversee third-party contractor teams in the development of engineering designs for large-scale solar projects. This role merges technical expertise with project management skills to ensure successful project execution from inception through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate third-party engineering teams to deliver high-quality project designs.
- Engineering Design: Develop and review engineering designs, applying value engineering principles to optimize cost, reliability, and performance.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with environmental, procurement, and transmission services teams to align project goals.
- Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to technical standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, with demonstrated capability in managing engineering resources.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Communication: Excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential for effective team collaboration.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience in utility-scale solar projects.
- Background in the power industry (wind, BESS, combined cycle, etc.).
- Previous experience in managing capital project budgets.
Location Details:
- Remote Work: Hybrid remote work is available.
- Training: Initial 1-2 weeks of training in Juno Beach, FL.
- Meetings: Monthly in-person meetings are required in Juno Beach, FL.
