We are seeking a proactive Energy Engineer to join our energy engineering team. This role will involve developing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives for commercial facilities. The Energy Engineer will conduct energy audits, analyze consumption, and design innovative, energy-saving solutions while collaborating with internal teams to improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Energy Audits & Analysis: Conduct detailed site surveys, analyze building energy data, review technical drawings, and prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining energy efficiency recommendations.
- Technical Expertise: Identify energy-efficient HVAC and lighting solutions, prepare energy savings estimates, ensure compliance with energy regulations, and stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.
- Project Management: Lead energy projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and track/report energy savings and project performance metrics.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and submit energy reports, manage benchmarking and portfolio data, and incorporate local incentives and rebates into project proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering or related field
- A proven track record driving Energy efficiency, modelling and ideally audits!
- Proficiency in energy modelling software, data analysis, and building management systems
- Familiarity with energy regulations and best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- LEED or sustainability certifications
- Experience with renewable energy systems and utility incentive programs
- Knowledge of Building Performance CO and Energize Denver ordinances
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM), BEAP, or EMP designation would be a highly desirable
