THE JOB
This is a Endpoint Applications Specialist I position. As a Endpoint Applications Specialist I your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain production Windows workstation builds, including driver management, software deployment, patch management, internal application installations, and troubleshooting.
- Develop and improve delivery of workstation build and software suite via tools like Windows Deployment Services, Intune, Windows Group Policy, Dell Command Update, and Autopilot.
- Assist the Technology team planning process through ongoing research to ensure the credit union is keeping current with important industry standards.
- Administrate and document high level functions in business-critical systems VOIP phone and fax, multifactor authentication, and printer management. Be the first contact for change requests in these systems from the business and develop SOP s for these critical job roles.
- Work with the Technical Support team as a point of escalation for break-fix tickets, change requests, and business application support.
- Partner with the IT, Project Management and business unit leaders to help create and define information technology project requirements including setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures.
- Represent the IT department in project meetings and strategy sessions and maintain liaison with peers, managers, and leaders to facilitate merger project activities.
- Formulate requisitions, budgets, reports, and plans to address the needs of each project from the IT perspective.
- Clearly communicate project work status, timeline, and budget to keep all stakeholders informed of progress.
- Act as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to technical issues relating to assigned programs or projects.
- Participate in the analysis of merger institutions including evaluating system readiness and testing to ensure project and product objectives are deliverable.
- Provide support to other members of the PMO team to ensure duties are completed in a timely fashion and in adherence to project timelines.
- Enter trouble ticket information into Help Desk database to maintain appropriate problem tracking and resolution.
- Maintain and verify software and vendor licenses for legal use and compliance to avoid interruptions to team member usage of software/hardware.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Endpoint Applications Specialist I who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Endpoint Applications Specialist I would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Equivalent to a two-year degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or appropriate IT certifications/training.
- Two years or more of related experience in Windows workstation management, tier 2 tech support, help desk.
Skills & Abilities
Manage and maintain end-user computing devices, peripherals, and software
Administer and support modern/current computer operating systems
Active Directory, Group Policy, Certificate Authority, SharePoint
Microsoft 365 Administration
Proficient with Remote Monitoring and Management tools, software deployment, scripting
Experience with identity management via Active Directory, Azure, and Okta.
Experience administrating VOIP solutions.
ITSM tools ticketing systems, problem management, change management
Strong Technical Customer Service skills
