What You'll Do In This Growth Role:
1. Represent and defend clients in employment litigation matters before courts, arbitration panels, and administrative agencies.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to provide accurate and timely counsel to clients.
3. Manage all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, motions, trials, and appeals.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in employment disputes.
5. Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in employment matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
6. Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve desired results for clients.
7. Participate in mediations and settlement conferences, advocating for clients' interests.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends in employment law.
9. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Employment Defense Attorney, with a proven track record of success in litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Extensive experience with legal discovery, negotiation, legal research, employment litigation, employment defense, mediation, and depositions.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients and present complex legal arguments.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex legal issues and develop effective strategies.
7. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
