We are seeking Experienced Emergency Room Physicians to join our Parker Indian Health Service Hospital ER Team. This Long Term up to a Full-Time Locum/Contract opportunity can be up to 1 year with possible extension options.

- 13-hour shifts
- Local or Travel Locums welcome
- Experience as an ER, MD/DO Required
- 2-3 years of experience Needed
- IHS facility experience preferred helpful
- Previous Locum Tenens experience preferred
- Board certification in ER Required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
- Work on any US license

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent decision-making skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Emergency Medicine Physician will play a critical role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting with acute medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients in emergency situations to determine the nature and severity of their conditions.
- Provide immediate treatment for a wide range of medical emergencies, including trauma, cardiac events, and respiratory distress.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Perform necessary procedures such as spinal taps, wound care, and vascular radiography as required.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition promptly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients treated in the emergency department.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with advancements in emergency medicine and related fields.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide education on health management and follow-up care.
Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine or related specialty.
- Experience in pediatric critical intensive care or senior care is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in handling complex cases involving urology, psychiatry, hospice palliative medicine, and nuclear medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICU protocols and procedures is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times.
