Volt is immediately hiring an Electronic Engineering Technician in Monrovia, CA!
As an Electronic Engineering Technician - you will be.
In this role you will be responsible for responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment on all production related industrial systems including, but not limited to pumps, motors, PLC and CNC machinery, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and coolant systems. Effective communication with your team and the customer is critical to understand and solve complex electrical and mechanical problems. The Production Maintenance Technician identifies and corrects any safety-related issues and performs independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.

Pay Range: $27 to $29 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:
These are the points that we are looking for in the candidate:
- Assembly
- Installation
- Maintenance such as:
- Install and inspect new equipment
- Evaluate performance under different operating conditions
- Testing and obviously be familiar with all test equipment such as power supply, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, LCR meter and spectrum analyzer.
- Troubleshooting, for example:
- Looking for and spotting missing components, incorrectly soldered components, wrong component values, incorrect connector pinouts, not matching connectors.
- And for example, spotting boards that were designed and manufactured correctly, and the schematics were also correct. But the reason for the malfunction turned out to be in the component library, where one of the operational amplifiers had its supply pins reversed
- Also, look for the simple eye visible failures, burnt signs, missed components, and lost tracks, pads, or solderers.
- Repair (Disassembly, assembly, soldering, crimping, installing,…)
- Upgrading of associated electronic equipment and systems
- Preparing repair quotes
