We are seeking am Electro-Mechanical Technician to assist with the installation and maintenance of the plant's manufacturing equipment.

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the plant meets its key performance metrics and goals for safety, quality, throughput, delivery and cost.
This position is responsible for installation and maintenance of equipment and tooling, auxiliary equipment and the troubleshooting of machines and processes to ensure efficient production of quality product. A great team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including the design and construction of fixtures, jigs, and other tools to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Take ownership of executing Kaizen events, driving improvements in processes, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Assemble, install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble electrical and mechanical equipment as necessary.
- Minimizes unplanned downtime and drives up Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- Works collaboratively with shift supervision and shift assemblers to ensure production schedules are being met with focus on delivery, quality, and cost improvements.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering with process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) execution for new and updated production processes and equipment.
- Installation of new equipment throughout manufacturing areas
- Assist in creation and maintenance of production instructions and work instructions for new and updated production processes.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on various equipment on schedule with minimal downtime.
- Execute corrective/ reactive maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean workspace and organized tooling cabinet.
- Diagnose and correct mechanical malfunctions so as to maintain equipment in a state of operating effectiveness and to meet production requirements
- Provide and implement ideas to improve efficiency of the production department and work with operators, mechanics, electricians and engineers to solve manufacturing problems.
- Contributes to the concepts, design and implementation of jigs, fixture and other equipment to improve efficiency.
- Conducts and coordinates calibration as needed, including associated investigation and documentation for compliance and traceability.
- Responsible for safely assessing and stabilizing facilities utility and equipment independently as needed during shift.
- Work from prints, sketches and other written or verbal instructions.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities to include projects as assigned by supervision.
- Part of team that establishes, implements, and audits preventative maintenance program.
- Adhere and comply with company policies, procedures and practices.
- Responsible to follow OSHA regulations and other safety rules.
- Use a variety of hand and portable power tools, along with shop equipment such as drill press, hack saw, grinder, lathe, etc.
- Maintain personal work tools
- HS Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree in Engineering Technology preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient in automated machinery, particularly PLC and LabVIEW-driven equipment.
- Good communication skills to work with operations personnel and management.
- Minimum 4 years relevant mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/plant environment,
- Ability to interpret part drawings, knowledge of quality requirements.
- Ability to be self-directed and work with limited supervision;
- Ability to perform precision tasks including alignments using lasers, dial indicators, etc.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude. Ability to be trained on basic maintenance electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience in medical device, aerospace or other regulated manufacturing environment desired.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the repair / installation of mechanical equipment;
- Demonstrated knowledge of predictive maintenance practices (vibration, ultrasound, etc.) desired.
- Experience with CAD software and 3D printing preferred.
