Electrician - Intermittent G00 - Columbus Consolidated Government

This position is responsible forperforming carpentry repair and maintenance on city-owned facilities. Intermittentevent staff position – works Civic Center events.

• Changes light bulbs and ballasts; replaces faulty receptacles, switches, contactors, breakers, motors, and belts.
• Assists plumbers, HVAC technicians, telephone technicians, and representatives of the civic center maintenance department as needed.
• Repairs sliding doors.
• Performs plumbing and minor HVAC duties as necessary.
• Repairs kitchen equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Organizes work orders by priority; determines supplies needed to complete tasks.
• Assists with sporting events and special projects such as Christmas lighting and community festivals by installing and maintaining temporary electrical services as needed.
• Installs electrical outlets.
• Wires cubicles.
• Repairs or replaces speaker controls, cameras, monitors, and electric motors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
