The Electrician/ Event Power Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of all power-related aspects for events. This role ensures the seamless provision of electrical power to all event areas, including generator, distribution, and light towers. The Event Power Manager works closely with event organizers, vendors, and technical staff to ensure all power needs are met efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
Power Planning and Design:- Develop detailed power plans for events, including power distribution layouts, generator placements, and backup power solutions.
- Assess power requirements for various event components, ensuring sufficient power supply for lighting, sound, AV equipment, and other electrical needs:
- Collaborate with event organizers and technical teams to understand specific power requirements and constraints.
- Coordinate with electrical contractors, generator suppliers, and other vendors to secure necessary equipment and services.
- Manage the setup, operation, and tear down of all power-related infrastructure.
- Oversee the installation and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Ensure all electrical installations adhere to local and national safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Develop and implement emergency power protocols and contingency plans.
- Prepare and manage budgets for power-related expenses, including equipment rentals, fuel, labor, and other associated costs.
- Optimize resource allocation to maintain cost efficiency while ensuring reliable power supply.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for power-related issues during the event.
- Coordinate with on-site technical teams to address any power disruptions or failures promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of power plans, equipment inventories, vendor contracts, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare post-event reports to evaluate power usage, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements for future events.
- Assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and efficiency.
- Provide coaching and support to team members to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
- Identify training needs and create development plans for team members.
- Organize and conduct training sessions to improve team skills and competencies.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities.

- Physical capability to oversee setup and dismantling of power equipment, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Certified Electrician
- Previous experience required
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass DOT physical exam
- CDL preferred
