We are seeking skilled Electrical Technicians with experience in maintenance and engineering environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a willingness to support additional duties as needed. This role involves performing highly skilled work in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay out, assemble, test, and install apparatus and equipment based on blueprints, schematics, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Install, repair, and service specialized mechanical equipment, machinery, panels, and wiring harnesses.
- Prepare for tasks by reviewing assembly instructions, technical documents, blueprints, and part lists to understand job requirements.
- Align, fit, and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and blueprints.
- Verify component specifications through measurement and testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical school certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience in Rail/rolling stock is a plus.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
