Electrical Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and specifications are met.
- Read blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
- Estimate and order materials, and evaluate worker requirements.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule workers’ activities.
- Resolve problems and coordinate activities with other departments and contractors.
- Record personnel, production, and operational data.
- Assign work based on material and worker requirements.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Diagnose and inspect systems using test equipment.
- Advise management on equipment hazards.
- Maintain a current electrician's license.
- Plan and install electrical wiring and fixtures according to job specifications and codes.
- Follow safety rules and report hazards.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Building and Construction: Understanding of electrical work materials, methods, and tools.
- Mathematics: Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
- Customer Service: Principles of providing excellent customer service.
